Cardinal Health -

Surgical Glove Changing : The New Best Practices

I designed this project with the the focus of changing a behavior which is becoming a growing problem in the healthcare industry. Many clinical problems have focused solutions and in this case required a change in behavior. By addressing the problem of perforations, the project educated and informed healthcare providers about the necessity to change surgical gloves periodically. The learning programs I created provided a lot of education in a small amount of time.

Audience: Surgeons and OR personal. Sourcing & Sales Stakeholders

Responsibilities: eLearning development, scriptwriting, graphic design, mockups, animation, audio narration, closed caption transcription.

Tools Used: Articulate Rise, Storyline 360, Vyond, Premier Pro, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Audacity, Powtoon

Problem & Solution

The problem was trying to make healthcare providers aware of new risks to something that was so tried and true in thier field. Surgical gloves have evolved over the years, but their purpose to protect both patient and surgeon from cross-contamination that can lead to infection, has never changed. The solution was to demonstrate how the simple act of glove changing can help reduce infections.

Text-Based Storyboard

I created a text-based storyboard to chart the learner journey, plan content delivery and plan the design and feel of this module.
