To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Erin Delventhal for the position of an instructional designer.

Erin’s first impression came during her interview at St. Raphael. I was part of the interview team and was thrilled when she accepted the offer to work there. I served as her Mentor for Ohio’s RESA program. This gave me many opportunities to observe classes and share Erin’s journey through the state teacher licensing program. She kept impeccable notes and met all deadlines. She was very conscientious about her projects and work submissions. She took great pride in making her lessons align with state standards and create a classroom of creativity and collaboration. Having recently received her Masters of Education in Instructional Design and Technology, Erin smoothly transitioned to distance learning when the pandemic hit. Erin reached out to faculty and provided training to help us all transition to online classroom. Her assistance and the training materials she provided were invaluable to helping us understand and structure our eLearning classrooms. She also created materials to share with our parents to help them understand and accommodate the online transition.  Erin kept the students, grades K – 8, engaged and motivated. I personally heard comments from parents about the positive encouragement Erin offered to each student for individual creativity in at-home projects.

I taught with and mentored Erin at St. Raphael School in Bay Village for the past two years. I have witnessed her commitment to the arts and stem education and her willingness to go above and beyond. As a 4th grade teacher, I spent time in my students’ art/stem classes and witnessed their projects in addition to the many activities of the entire school. Students were eager to spend free time in the art room when available and the Garden Club brought life to an area of the school grounds that made students proud. School displays, the 2019 Art Show, holiday program decorations, and ceramic bowls made and sold for a local fundraiser are examples of her efforts to enhance the appreciation of the arts and the sciences throughout the St. Raphael community.

The experience and commitment Erin brings to her work make her a perfect candidate for your position. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Carla Gallagher
