Scope of Work Accreditation Self-Study Videos Project Overview

The instructional design project for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine aims to develop comprehensive Accreditation Self-Study Videos to support training for clinical assessments and instruction. These videos will be tailored for clinical faculty, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct effective and standardized clinical assessments of medical student’s skills and proficiencies during their Core rotations

 

Project Objectives

  • Develop engaging and interactive training videos for clinical faculty.

  • Ensure alignment with assessment requirements of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

  • Enhance clinical faculty's proficiency in conducting clinical assessments of medical students, such as history-taking, physical examinations, and ethical and communication skills.

 

Deliverables

  • Needs Analysis Report: Identify the specific needs and challenges faced by clinical faculty in conducting clinical assessments.

  • Outline the key learning objectives and competencies to be addressed during assessments

Accreditation Self-Study Videos

  • Create engaging and videos using multimedia elements.

  • Create resources/guides

  • Multi-responsive design to view in PCD such as Tablets, Phones & Desktops.


Technology Integration 

  • Implement technology to enhance the delivery and accessibility of the training modules.

  • Ensure compatibility with the university's learning management system.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish a review process involving subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

  • SCRIPTS: edit video scripts based on content provided. (Dr. Logio’s Videos) The script will be used in producing the final video recordings.

  • Design engaging and consistent templates to use throughout the training modules and MicroUnits.

  • Conduct pilot testing with a sample group of clinical faculty and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.

 

Documentation and Training 

  • Provide comprehensive documentation for faculty on how to access, navigate, and utilize the training modules.

  • Design Assessment and Reference Guides for evaluator’s use.

  • Optional: Design training sessions or workshops to familiarize clinical faculty with the new resources.

 

Timeline 

  • Start Date: March 2024

  • End Date: April 2024

  • Subject Matter Experts: Dr. Logio, Dr. Salcedo and stakeholders
     

Communication Plan

  • Regular project update meetings as scheduled by Dr. Logio

  • Bi-weekly progress reports

  • Dedicated channels for feedback and communication

 

Approval Process

  • Regular checkpoints for client/stakeholder review and feedback.
